For safety

Knowing that you have a working fire suppression system gives you the assurance that you’ll be able to deal with fire emergencies when they occur. It also gives your tenants or occupants the peace of mind knowing that they are protected.

How often should fire extinguisher maintenance be done?

According to the AS1851, fire extinguisher test, maintenance, and refill services should be done:

  • All portable and wheeled fire extinguishers should be tested every 6 months

  • Pressure testing and refills should be done at least once every 5 years unless they are Foam filled types, which require the foam to be replaced annually.

How is Fire Extinguisher Testing carried out?

During inspections, our team will check for physical damages to the fire extinguishers, including cracks or corrosion.

After the physical inspection, we also carry out the relevant inspection prompts in accordance with Australian Standard (AS1851). Below are an overview of some  items our team check during the routine maintenance:

  • External corrosion

  • Outlet hose assembly
